The company will be launching its comprehensive portfolios of mobile and broadband networking (xDSL, Fiber, 3G/4G LTE, M2M) equipment in the country.
It also integrates cloud computing with its CPE hardware to provide a total Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring tool, allowing the telecommuters to perform system diagnosis remotely at their ease.
&#8220;Indonesia is one of the fastest developing countries in South-East Asia with a rigorously growing GDP and population,&#8221; Charlies Yeh, sales director of Billion&#8217;s Networking Division, said in a statement.
He added, &#8220;We foresee a tremendous potential for the deployment of telecommunication service. As the Indonesian government released the Smart Street Lighting Initiative (SSLI), we are also confident that Billion&#8217;s Broadband Smart Lighting and Street Light Control System can assist local system integrators to win any public tenders.”
Billion is in in search of partners to enter the smart lighting and smart energy markets in Southeast Asia region and wants to promote its Intelligent Street Light Control and Management System (LCMS) and indoor &amp; outdoor LED drivers by working with system integrators to join tendering projects.
Martin Chang, the product line manager of Intelligent Street LCMS at Billion Electric, said that the company is hoping to launch BEsmart Energy Cloud in the region, in alignment with the  regional sustainability movements.
Southeast Asia is now the primary market focus where the company wants to invest in long-term business co-operations.
Billion, established in 1973, began its initial business in the manufacturing, designed, and the distribution of power supplies, LED drivers, and lighting control solutions.
It&#8217;s brand was officially launched in 2004, and since 2009, the company has added considerable resources to empower the base of R&amp;D teams and build laboratories to develop Smart Grid and energy related products. Billion closed its fiscal year 2014 with revenue of $38 million.
 “We are targeting Southeast Asia as we see a thriving potential in renewable energy, smart streetlights, and LED lighting. We already have moved towards that direction by working with partners in Malaysia and Thailand. Currently, we are looking for cooperation through the whole Southeastern Asia, especially in Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Philippine,” Chang said.

With only 17% out of the 250 million populations has Internet access, the Indonesian government aims to deliver broadband connectivity to its island inhabitants.
