<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.telkom.co.id/" target="_blank">PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) Tbk</a>, Indonesia’s largest telecommunication company, on Wednesday listed its four series of bonds worth a total of Rp7 trillion ($525.73 million) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
The bonds comprises of seven-year A series bonds worth Rp2.2 trillion, which carried fixed interest rate of 9.925 per cent per annum; ten-year B series bonds worth Rp2.1 trillion carrying fixed rate of 10.25 per cent per annum; fifteen-year C series bonds valued at Rp1.2 trillion carrying fixed rate of 10.5 per cent per annum; and thirty-year D series bonds worth Rp1.5 trillion, with fixed interest rate of 11 per cent per annum.
Finance director of Telkom Heri Sunaryadi said that the bonds offer was oversubscribed 1.6 times, indicating that the bonds issue has attracted interest from investors.
The bonds series – A, B, C, D &#8212; will trade under the code “TLKM01ACNI”, “TLKM01BCNI”, “TLKM01CCNI” and “TLKM01DCNI”, respectively.
The bonds coupon payment will be payable in every three months, with the first payment to be made on September 23, 2015.
The bonds were offered on June 17-19, followed by allotment on June 19 and then listed on Wednesday (June 24).
The underwriters of the bonds issue were <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.mandirisekuritas.co.id/" target="_blank">PT Mandiri Sekuritas</a>, <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.bahana.co.id/" target="_blank">PT Bahana Securities</a>, state owned brokerage firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.danareksa.com/" target="_blank">PT Danareksa</a> and <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.trimegah.com/" target="_blank">PT Trimegah Securities Tbk</a>. <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.permatabank.com/" target="_blank">PT Bank Permata Tbk</a> has been appointed as trustee bank.
Indonesian rating agency PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo) has given rating of idAAA (Triple A; stable outlook) for the bonds series.
The Telkom’s bonds was the 27th bonds issued and listed so far this year with combined value of Rp35.87 trillion, the Indonesian Stock Exchange said in a statement.
Recently, Telkom Indonesia reached a deal to buy Guam’s AP Teleguam Holdings Inc, parent company of telco operator<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.gta.net/" target="_blank"> GTA Teleguam</a>.
GTA Teleguam is one of the telecom operators in Guam.
Currently, Guam’s AP Teleguam, the parent company of GTA Teleguam is owned by Japanese private equity firm <a href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Advantage+Partners">Advantage Partners</a>.
The deal is routed through Telkom’s US subsidiary – Telkom Internasional USA Inc. (Telin USA) – that is buying out Advantage Partners’ holdings in the Guam-based operator.
The deal size was estimated to reach around $300 million.
