Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health (C3H) has anchored a $1.2-million funding round for Singapore-based AI healthcare firm injewelme, according to an announcement.
C3H, a climate- and health-focused investment vehicle backed by Temasek Trust, was joined by UK-based Richardson Family office in the round that marked injewelme’s first institutional fundraise.
The fresh capital will be used to advance injewelme’s DeepHealthVision (DHV) technology, a contactless health monitoring system.
The system uses remote photoplethysmography and AI to capture more than 20 vital health indicators, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, using a standard camera in about 30 seconds.
The startup said it is expanding the system’s capabilities to measure additional parameters such as blood glucose, hydration levels, fatigue, and stress, with a focus on detecting physiological strain linked to rising heat exposure and other climate-related stressors.
The technology has been tested in pilots with public and private sector partners, including Singapore’s SingHealth Polyclinics, achieving detection accuracy of around 95% in real-world settings, the company added.
“Beyond one-time health snapshots, we aim to enable anyone to easily and continuously track their health in everyday life, unlocking long-term health insights and advancing AI-driven predictive, preventive care,” said James Moon, injewelme’s founder and CEO.
Proceeds of the fresh funds will also support customer acquisition efforts in Singapore and expansion into Southeast Asia, as injewelme explores broader deployment across healthcare, eldercare, insurance, and workplace safety sectors, per the announcement.
The lead investor, C3H, said it would support injewelme through access to Temasek Trust’s network to accelerate commercialisation, while Co-Axis, a digital impact marketplace, facilitated the connection between investors and the startup.
“Injewelme’s technology and approach exemplify a highly scalable and relevant solution at the intersection of climate and health,” said Ryan Tan, Head of C3H.
Backed by Temasek Trust, C3H focuses on companies that deliver tangible impact through bold, scalable solutions. Its activities are anchored by Temasek Trust’s impact areas of Planet, People, Peace, and Progress.
