The Board of Thai Airways International has approved the selection of Charumporn Jotikasathira, as the new president.
Charumporn, former president of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, has been chosen from the four candidates, by the Finance Minister.He is expected to sort out the the airline’s financial situation.
After discussing the remuneration and the contract, subject to the board approval, the new president is expected to start working next month.
His main mission would be to recover the airline’s failing business. Working under the supervision of the military-led Super Board, he is expected to bring the airline out of the financial crunch, to turn it’s red performance into green, to minimise the airline’s cost and to set both short and long-term business strategies.
