Thailand’s media provider <a href="http://www.planbmedia.co.th/">Plan B Media Plc (PLANB) </a>plans to issue 897,609,000 shares, equivalent to 25.7 per cent of its paid-up capital, in its initial public offering (IPO) this year, a top company executive said.
The company declined to reveal how much they expects to raise from the listing and said the information could not be disclosed as it was  yet to inform the Office of Securities and Exchange Commission.
Of total IPO shares, 23,400,000 shares will be offered to the company&#8217;s director and management team and the rest will go to the public. The par value is booked at 0.10 baht per share.
It will use the proceeds for developing its media business in Thailand and to make it more innovative  to cope with tougher competition when Asean Economic Community (AEC) is inaugurated, its chief executive Palin Lojanagosin said.
The company has both the short and the long-term plan to expand its business by focusing on creating the partnership with government agencies and private companies to develop the innovation together, he added.
Managing director Pinijsorn Luechaikajohnpan said that its future plan would be to focus more on investing in the big cities and tourism spots such as Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Surat and Ko Samui.
For overseas, <a href="http://www.emtek.co.id/" target="_blank">EMTEK</a>, its strategic shareholder and the second largest media group in Indonesia, is in talk with out-of-home media agencies in AEC in a bid to support Plan B to expand its business outside Thailand.
During 2011-13, the company’s revenue has continuously increased from 679.5 billion baht ($20.8 million) in 2011 to 1.012 billion baht ($30.98 million) in 2012 and 1.381 billion baht ($42.27 million) in 2013. For the first three quarters in 2014, it recorded the revenue of 1.001 billion baht ($30.64 million), up 0.2 per cent from the same period in 2013.
