In a slew of top-level changes, Thailand&#8217;s financial services major <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.kasikornbank.com/">Kasikornbank (KBANK) </a>has appointed Kattiya Indaravijaya as its ninth president with effect from January 1, 2016.
Kattiya, who becomes the first KBANK female president, has been with the bank since 1987 in the role of vice president for the corporate strategy department. Her latest positions were executive vice president and senior executive vice president for the finance and control division.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy (Marketing), Chulalongkorn University. Awarded a KBank scholarship for further education overseas, she earned an MBA in Finance and Investment from the University of Texas at Austin, according to a bank statement.
This appointment is part of the bank’s restructured management team to bolster its business procedures especially the digital segment.
In other senior-level appointments, Teeranum Srihong, a co-president of KBANK, will be chairman of a new subsidiary Kasikorn Business Technology Group, set up for handling information technology and exploring new business opportunities related to digital banking.
Chongrak Rattanapian, executive vice president and Head of Corporate Business Division, will take charge as chief financial officer.
Executive vice president and head of SME business division Patchara Samalapa will take charge of the corporate business division.
Noppawan Jermhansa, executive vice president, will oversee KBANK’s retail banking business, replacing Thawee Teerasoontornwong, who is promoted to be chairman of Kasikorn Leasing Co.
