Thailand dealbook: EGATIF set to launch in June; petrochemical firm PTT exits BCP

There have been two big movements in Thailand’s energy sector recently. The first involves the state enterprise Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, which is planning to turn one of its power plants into the country’s first infrastructure fund. The other development is regarding the PTT, which will sell its stake in Bangchak Petroleum to the government’s Vayupak Fund and Social Security Office.
