Two Thailand-based real estate investment trust (REITs) funds &#8211; Thailand Hospitality fund, Best Bonded Warehouse fund &#8211; will offer their shares to the public during the period of September-October 2015.
The two REITs have already received the approval of Thailand&#8217;s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to data provided by the SEC, the country has a  total of 57 registered REIT  funds, of which 40 have registered  an increase in  value prices and 17 fund have shown decreased value prices.
According to <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.prachachat.net/" target="_blank">Prachachart</a>, the Thailand Hospitality fund is managed by One Asset Management Limited (ONEAM). The firm has been granted a license from the Ministry of Finance for Mutual Fund, Discretionary Private fund, and Provident fund with a total value 1,720 million baht.(172 million units,  10 baht pars). Thailand Hospitality is a freehold REIT, which invest in hotel and resort industry like the Holiday Inn Resort Phuket, (Intercontinental group).
Win Udomrachtavanich, chief of executive officer of ONEAM said that the fund expect to pay an estimated divided of 7-7.5 per cent per year, for the next 10 years.
Meanwhile, the other REIT fund that will debut on the market &#8211; Best Bonded Warehouse &#8211; invests in warehouse, distribution and logistics assets. It is expected to have a total value 1,594 million baht (159.4 million units, 10 bath par) and will be managed by Finansa  Asset Management Ltd (FAM).
FAM was established in 1969 and is one of the first companies to be granted a fund management license. It quickly became a market leader in provident fund management and currently has about 14 billion baht under its care.
According to the CIMB, FAM was acquired by CIMB-Principal Asset Management Company Limited (Thailand) is 99.99 per cent owned by CIMB-Principal  Asset Management Bhd, along with other subsidiary companies in Singapore and Indonesia.
CIMB-Principal Asset Management Bhd, Malaysia is a joint venture CIMB Group ( which holds a 60 per cent stake) and the Principal Financial Group ( which has 40 per cent stake).
