According to TKS technology&#8217;s managing director Siriwan Sukanjanasiri the company is already in talks with other industry players to either acquire a stake or to establish a joint venture in these sectors. “We cannot disclose details yet, but we think we will have a conclusion with at least one company in 2015,” she said.
Meanwhile, the company continues to expand it&#8217;s printing business in new markets. The group will be setting up a joint venture to establish a printing factory in Myanmar in the second quarter of next year. The initial investment is estimated to be around 50 million baht ($1.52 million), in a venture, where the company will have at least 50 per cent of the total shares.
According to her,  the company is also looking at a possibility to expand its printing business in Cambodia.
The printing business in likely to grow during the next fiscal, following the country’s political stability and the restored investment in the private sector. The group is aiming to boost its revenue by eight per cent to -10 per cent next year, while maintaining the net profit margin at 15-18 per cent. It has set a budget of around 90 million baht ($2.74 million) for investment in new projects and for factory maintenance in 2015.
The revenue in 2014 will not be able to hit its target of 1.6 billion baht ($48.78 million) because 40 per cent of its revenue is from the government’s projects, which were postponed due to the political unrest in the first half of this year. “Despite missing our revenue target, we are likely to record the highest ever net profit this year, thanks to the higher margin in other projects,” she said.
The company registered a net profit of 247.2 million baht ($7.54 million) for the first nine months of 2014, higher than 233.98 million baht ($7.13 million) for the 12 months of 2013.
The company posted the sales revenue of 1.196 billion baht ($36.46 million), up 13.3 per cent from 1.056 million baht ($32.19 million) in the same period of last year. The net profit was 247.2 million baht ($7.54 million), increasing 18.2 per cent from 209.1 million baht ($6.38 million) in the first three quarters in 2013.
