Singapore headquartered DBS has announced that Brit Blakeney has joined the bank in Hong Kong as Innovation and Ecosystem Head while Citi has appointed long time executive Angel Ng as Citi Country Officer (CCO) for Hong Kong and Macau.
DBS gets senior digital exec in HK
Singapore headquartered DBS has announced that Brit Blakeney has joined the bank in Hong Kong as Innovation and Ecosystem Head who will report to DBS Hong Kong’s CEO Sebastian Paredes.
A digital executive with over 20 years of experience, Blakeney was a Director at Dun & Bradstreet before joining DBS and focused on its digital transformation. She has also held senior positions at major media and internet companies, such as AOL and Univision, and helped launch and run several successful internet and financial startups.
With a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University she has studied at the University of Grenoble in France.
Citi names new HK chief
US-based bank Citi has appointed long time executive Angel Ng as Citi Country Officer (CCO) for Hong Kong and Macau, a role she will assume from May 1.
Angel Ng will take charge of overall management, operations and development of the entire Citi franchise in Hong Kong and Macau, working closely with local, regional and global product and function heads, an announcement from Citi said last week.
She will be a member of the Citi Asia Pacific Operating Committee and will report directly to Francisco Aristeguieta, CEO of Citi Asia Pacific.
She first joined Citibank in 1998 and had assumed leadership positions within the bank, including head of retail banking, marketing, wealth management, and cards. In June 2015, she was appointed Consumer Business Manager for Hong Kong, where she contributed
to driving its digital transformation. She is currently the Chief Executive and a member of the Board of Directors of Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited.
Prior to Citibank, she has held a number of senior roles in Procter & Gamble and China Light and Power HK Ltd.
