TVM Capital Healthcare Partners expands Southeast Asia footprint

Healthcare-focused private equity firm TVM Capital Healthcare Partners is planning to expand its footprint in the in Southeast Asia.

The firm that is focused on healthcare investment in emerging markets, has partnered three healthcare professionals in Singapore. They will act as as external advisors to the Dubai-based investment team.

Dubai-based TVM’s is expected to tap the increasing demand for specialist healthcare services in SEA while expanding its reach in the region, according to the release by TVM Capital.

Our deep and long expertise in other emerging markets as well as in Europe and the U.S. highlights our best-practice approach to provide quality, ensure global collaboration and forge strong links between government policy and private sector expertise,” said Hoda Abou-Jamra, founding partner of TVM Capital Healthare partners.

The advisory team will serve to replicate TVM Capital Healthcare’s success seen in other emerging markets like in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Dr Ronald Ling who has over 20 years of experience in healthcare companies including private equity investment roles, will act as an operating partner for TVM. Ling has held active board roles with Parkway Holdings, Asia’s largest private healthcare company.

Karen Tay Koh who worked as a deputy CEO of SingHealth extensive experience in private and public sector organizations in healthcare and education will act as a senior advisor.

Hui Hsing Ma with also take a role of senior advisor and has worked with TVM Capital Group, whose affiliation is TVM Capital Healthcare.

“They will also work closely with our senior advisor of healthcare strategy, Carl Stanifer, who has helped shape the success we have enjoyed in the GCC with our approach to build centers of healthcare excellence. Carl also brings significant experience of Asia and will work closely with our senior advisors in Southeast Asia to leverage the achievements in the Gulf to aid Asian growth,” said Dr Helmut M. Schuehsler, CEO of TVM Capital Healthcare Partners.

Some of the investment portfolio of TVM Capital Healthcare Partners include firms like Ameco Medial industries, Bourn Hall International and Cambridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center.
