Bengaluru-based health intelligence company Ultrahuman has raised $70 million in a new funding round from investors including Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Alteria, and others.
The company said it plans to use the funding proceeds to scale research and development (R&D) across sensing, AI, miniaturised electronics and health algorithms. It will also increase spending on clinical research and expand its health intelligence offerings.
“For the longest time, computers have understood almost everything about the world except the person using them. We want to change that. We are building an interface that can understand the body continuously and translate its signals into intelligence that is useful in everyday life. Not another dashboard and not simply more data. Something that can help a person sleep better, understand cardiovascular health, navigate fertility and improve metabolic health,” said Mohit Kumar, Founder and CEO of Ultrahuman.
The company’s flagship product is the Ultrahuman Ring, which is supported by blood biomarkers, continuous glucose monitoring, environmental sensing, and an expanding software, AI, and research layer. According to the company, these systems are designed to build a longitudinal understanding of human physiology rather than treat health as a collection of isolated measurements.
The company sees wearable and body-based computing as a potential major technology platform over the next decade.
