The e-grocery segment in Vietnam is bustling with activity as startups such as Grab, Gojek, Loship, BAEMIN, Tiki, and Sendo, among others, line up aggressive expansion plans to tap on growth in the years to come.
So far, traditional grocery in the country accounted for 75% of the consumer market share, according to Nielsen. However, the number is expected to change soon as the pandemic is now increasingly forcing households to go online, thereby prompting them to form a new habit that is expected to stay, said industry experts tracking the sector.
