Vietnam’s influencer platform NAH JSC raises $200,000 seed round

NAH JSC, a new Vietnamese influencer and talent management platform, has raised a $200,000 seed round from local angel investors led by the founders of Cong Vang JSC (Golden Gate), the leading owner of several Vietnamese and foreign food brands.

Besides Cong Vang, the founders of Boo Commercial JSC, which owns Vietnamese fashion retail chains, and Boomerang, a social monitoring company, also joined the round.

Founded in 2017 by a group of social media veterans, NAH JSC is a part of Orion Media Company that specializes in creating and producing social media advertising products with two famous entertainment channels TrangTV and Loa Phuong on YouTube and Facebook.

NAH focuses on connecting brands and advertisers with micro influencers and key opinion leaders. It is also building its own pool of influencers on Facebook and Instagram. It claims to have more than 3,000 influencers on its platform Nguoianhhuong.vn with over 26 million followers and works with brands such as Samsung, Honda, VNG, Bitis’ Hunter and Garena.

Tran Chi Hieu (Hieu Orion), Founder of NAH told DEALSTREETASIA that the investment will help the company beef up its talent pool.

As part of the seed round, NAH will also be appointed as a strategic partner for social media advertising by the companies owned by the investors: Cong Vang JSC (Golden Gate JSC) and Boo Commercial JSC.

According to DI Research, 72 per cent of Vietnamese users decide to buy products based on an influencer’s recommendation.

Hiipone of the first automated influencer platforms in Vietnam, received an undisclosed seed funding from Singapore-based venture capital fund Cocoon Capital and 500 Startups in September 2017.

Earlier this month, GushCloud Agency, a leading influencer management and marketing firm in the region, entered Vietnam via a new JV with YAN Digital, the digital arm of Vietnam-based YAN Media Group.
