India Deal Monitor: Waterfield Advisors raises $6m and more updates

Waterfield Advisors, a multi-family office, has raised $6 million in a fresh funding round from a consortium of investors, including New York-based Zephyr Management LP, TVS Capital Fund and Gaurav Dalmia of Dalmia Group Holdings.

The company will use the funding proceeds to enhance its technology and advisory platforms, add new talent and expand into select international markets.

According to a report in The Economic Times, Waterfield is eyeing a presence in New York, Singapore, and Dubai. Through its global offices, Waterfield will seek to advise international family offices on their India allocations.

Founded by St Stephen’s and Oxford University alum Soumya Rajan and Sanjay Teli, Waterfield claims to advise more than 60 prominent business families of India with total assets under advisory of over $3.3 billion.
