On day two, September 12, join us for a keynote by Jenny Lee, Managing Partner, GGV Capital. Jenny joined GGV Capital in 2005 as a managing partner and was instrumental in setting up the VC firm’s presence in China. Since 2011, she has been recognized by the Forbes Global 100 VC Midas List of top venture capitalists.
GGV has the distinction of not only backing over 40 unicorns across China and the US but also of spotting companies such as Alibaba and DiDi Chuxing early on in their growth cycle. Other portfolio companies include Airbnb, Slack, Xiaomi and Beijing Bytedance. You don’t want to give this session a miss!
Also on day two is a fireside chat with Helen Wong, Partner, Qiming Ventures, and Cindy Chow Lok Mei-ki, Executive Director, Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund.
Helen Wong focuses on Qiming Ventures’ internet and consumer practice. She is a long-time venture capitalist and had previously spent 15 years at GGV Capital and Venture TDF. Qiming has at least 20 unicorns in its portfolio, including Xiaomi, UBTech, We Doctor Group, Face++, Mobike, Meituan-Dianping and Tujia.
Cindy Chow is the Executive Director of the Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund. She joined Alibaba Group in 2007 and has worked in the financial control and planning capacity, most recently as the Senior Director of International Finance.
Helen and Cindy will be talking to Rachel Lau, Partner, RHL Ventures on What is Drawing Chinese Giants to SE Asia and India.
