Y Combinator-backed Betterhalf.ai raises $3m and 10 more India deal updates

Y Combinator-backed Betterhalf.ai, an AI-driven matrimonial app, has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round of funding, per an announcement.

The round saw the participation of venture capital firms S2 Capital and Quiet Capital and angel investors like Kunal Shah and Samvit Ramadurgam.

The startup will use the funding to boost its app engagement, build monetisation features, and product discovery across organic channels, the company said in a statement.

“The closing of this round post Y Combinator Demo Day is a marker of the investors’ confidence on readiness of 100M urban Indians for a new age matrimony app and allows us to take the company from $1m run rate to $5m run rate for our next Series A round,” Pawan Gupta, co-founder of Betterhalf.ai said.
