Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal exits personal investment in Blinkit

Zomato CEO and co-founder Deepinder Goyal has sold his personal stake in Blinkit (formerly Grofers), a Zomato-backed online grocery delivery service, to New York-based investment firm Tiger Global.

Goyal sold 42,371 preference shares to Internet Fund III Pte. Ltd., a Tiger Global entity, on Jan 31, per the company’s filings with Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority accessed by DealStreetAsia. According to the filings, his first investment in Singapore-registered Grofers Pte was made in 2015.
