Green GSM inks financing deal with PNB

Green GSM Philippines has secured a 2-billion-peso ($32 million) credit facility from Philippine National Bank (PNB) to support the expansion of its all-electric ride-hailing business in the country, according to an announcement.

The financing agreement forms part of a broader strategic partnership between Green GSM and PNB covering financial and digital banking services.

Under the deal, PNB will also provide digital account management and payment systems for Green GSM’s driver network through its corporate banking platform and digitised onboarding process.

Green GSM, which operates an all-electric ride-hailing platform powered by VinFast electric vehicles, has been expanding its presence in the Philippines through partnerships with local firms and financial institutions.

The company earlier partnered with Xentro Group in 2025 and launched the Green Xentro fleet in Rizal this year.

Green GSM said it is building a long-term operating ecosystem in the Philippines through the integration of technology, standardized operating systems, and professionally trained drivers.

BlockchainWork raises seed funding

Vietnam-based blockchain recruitment platform BlockchainWork has announced raising nearly $142,000 in a Seed 2 funding round backed by four Japanese strategic investors.

The Ho Chi Minh City-headquartered startup said three of the four investors had also participated in its 2024 Seed 1 round, which raised $87,000. The identities of the investors were not disclosed.

Founded in 2021, BlockchainWork operates a blockchain and Web3-focused recruitment and talent platform that connects employers with candidates across technical and non-technical roles.

The company said it currently has more than 20,000 candidates and over 300 corporate and educational partners in its network.

The fresh capital will be used to expand its candidate and employer network, develop AI-driven recruitment tools, and build partnerships across Asia, particularly in Japan and Singapore, per the announcement.
