Singapore-based commodities giant <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://olamgroup.com/">Olam International</a> has elevated its executive director &#8211; finance and business development, A Shekhar, to the post of executive director and group chief operating officer.
Shekhar will now assist Co-founder and Group CEO Sunny Verghese in overseeing all aspects of Olam&#8217;s business.
Shekhar has worked for 24 years with Olam, where he has worked in various regional, business unit and functional roles, the company said in a statement.
The company also announced the appointment of Neelamani Muthukumar as its Group Chief Financial Officer. In his new role, Muthukumar  will be responsible for regional and product finance, corporate planning and budgeting, financial and management reporting among other functions.
Muthukumar, who is currently the president and global head of corporate finance, has been with Olam for over 18 years.
Both the appointments come into effect from today.
