At the fag end of a challenging year, startup fundraising started to show signs of revival across Asia’s top markets in December. In SE Asia, the first megadeals in nearly six months lifted fundraising to $692 million—the highest in 2024. Meanwhile, Chinese startups raised $11 billion from 239 deals, marking the second-highest total of 2024. Although fundraising proceeds dipped 17% MoM to $1.38 billion in India, it was still 28% higher than a year ago.
