3One4 Capital backs Breathe Well-being and 14 more India deal updates

Y Combinator-backed healthtech startup Breathe Well-being Tuesday said it has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by 3One4 Capital.

The round also saw participation from Ashish Gupta, former managing director of Helion Ventures and an investor in platforms like Flipkart, MakeMyTrip, and naukri.com; Anjali Bansal, founder of Avaana Capital; Suhail Sameer, Group President of BharatPe; and Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs India (SAE India).

Founded in 2020 by Rohan Verma (ex-McKinsey) and Aditya Kaicker (ex-Accenture), Breathe Well-being uses a personalised coach-driven, community-first approach through interactive gamification to help people with type 2 Diabetes reduce HbA1c, lose weight, and stop diabetes medication eventually.

Funds raised will be used to scale up the tech platform, strengthen the coaching academy, and for team expansion, the startup said in a statement.

The company claims to have achieved a 30% m-o-m growth rate since its inception in 2020 and has seen a 22X increase in its membership base.
