Southeast Asia (ASEAN) continues to be one of the world’s fastest growing regions in terms of passenger travel and freight transportation volumes, buoyed by an expanding middle class and lower airfares brought about by budget carriers. This raises the prospect of increased dealflow and opportunities in the travel, aerospace and other related sectors.

The top three ASEAN markets driving growth in passenger travel are Indonesia (85 million passengers/year increasing at seven per cent annually), Malaysia (46 million at 18 per cent) and Thailand (40 million at 12 per cent).
