Southeast Asia’s tech ecosystem is at an inflexion point, given the upcoming exits of companies like Grab and GoTo, said two of the region’s most active venture capitalists at the Asia PE-VC Summit 2021.

Sequoia Capital, for instance, tends to nudge its companies towards a public listing because the majority of returns tend to come from listings and not a merger or acquisition, said Abheek Anand, a managing director at the firm.
