Australian startup Whispir's IPO provides exit path for MDI Ventures, Openspace

Australian cloud communication startup Whispir on Wednesday listed its shares on the Australian Stock Exchange, paving an exit path for its Southeast Asian investors, MDI Ventures (MDI) and Openspace Ventures.

Whispir raised A$47 million ($32.31 million) via the issue of 29.4 million shares at A$1.60 each, which comprised a primary offering of A$27 million ($18.56 million) and a secondary sell down by existing shareholders of A$20 million ($13.75 million).
