Singapore-based fintech startup Bluesheets has secured $4 million in a new funding round led by venture capital firm Insignia Ventures Partners, according to regulatory filings.
The round was joined by return backers 1982 Ventures, Antler, Plug and Play, and Kistefos.
Insignia Ventures contributed $3 million to the latest round, show Bluesheets&#8217;s filings with Singapore&#8217;s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
ACRA filings only reflect the equity funding secured by a company. The round could be larger and have other components such as debt.
DealStreetAsia has reached out to Bluesheets for comment.
Launched in 2021, the startup uses artificial intelligence (AI), classification algorithms, and machine learning to automate enterprise accounting. It connects tools such as messaging apps, email inboxes or revenue channels with accounting platforms such as Xero or Quickbooks and other third-party apps.
Bluesheets caters to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), accounting firms and large enterprise clients. According to its website, more than 10,000 companies use its platform. Clients include Pizza Express, Osome, Nextpay and Guzman y Gomez.
Bluesheets founders Christian Schneider and Clare Leighton have previously worked at Uber, Rocket Internet and Delivery Hero.
Bluesheets had previously secured S$2.05 million ($1.5 million) in a seed funding round led by Australian early-stage investment firm Investible in Sept 2021. The round was backed by Antler, 1982 Ventures, Kiplex Ventures and Kistefos.
According to its latest ACRA filings, the company is issuing preference shares to its seed investors upon conversion of convertible notes issued earlier.
