Taiwan's Cathay Life commits $80m to US-based Genstar Capital's Fund XI

Taiwanese life insurance company Cathay Life Insurance has committed $80 million to the latest mid-market fund of San Francisco-based buyout firm Genstar Capital.

The filing showed that Cathay Life, the insurance subsidiary of Taiwanese conglomerate Cathay Financial Holdings, approved the commitment to Genstar Capital Partners XI, the latest flagship of the US private equity firm.
