Private Equity firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/cvc-capital-partners-to-open-india-office-relocating-senior-md-to-mumbai-67598/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">CVC Capital Partners</a> has announced a $17.89 billion (€16 billion) close of its investment vehicle CVC Capital Partners VII which is focused on Europe and North America.
&#8220;The fund closed with a hard cap of $17.41 billion (€15.5 billion),&#8221; CVC Capital said in an announcement on Thursday. .
Together with the commitments of CVC and its employees, Fund VII will have over $17.89 billion (€16 billion) of equity capital available to invest, it added.
In addition to this flagship fund, CVC operates three other private equity strategies which include <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/people-sigit-prasetya-cvc-capitals-new-asia-head-australian-bank-makes-hk-appointment-72658/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">CVC Capital Partners Asia Pacific </a>which is the firm’s Asian private equity platform and CVC Strategic Opportunities Platform which focuses on stable long term investment opportunities.
Tyhe third vehicle is CVC Growth Partners that invests in high-growth, middle-market companies in the software and technology-enabled business services sectors.
Across all four strategies CVC manages $38.16 billuon (€34 billion) of active private equity funds.
