Philippine-based fintech startup First Circle, which operates a lending platform for SMEs in the country, has raised $26 million in its Series A funding round led by Indonesia-based venture capital firm Venturra Capital, in what could perhaps be the biggest fundraising for a fintech startup in the country this year.
Insignia Ventures Partners, Silverhorn Investment Advisors, and tryb Group also participated in the round. The proceeds will enable First Circle to branch out nationwide and expand in other Southeast Asian markets.
