Ford Motor to close down all operations in Indonesia

In a surprising move, PT Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) on Monday announced that it is closing its operations in Indonesia.

“We have announced the difficult business decision to withdraw from all of our operations in Indonesia in the second half of this year. This includes closing Ford dealerships and stopping the authorised import and sales of all Ford vehicles,” Bagus Susanto, Managing Director of Ford Motor Indonesia in the company formal statement on its website.
