Golden Equator Capital, KIP defer final close of $87m joint fund

Singapore-based Golden Equator Capital (GEC) and Korea Investment Partners (KIP) have deferred the final close of their S$120-million ($87 million) joint venture fund yet again.

According to two industry sources aware of the development, the GEC-KIP Technology and Innovation Fund (GEC-KIP Fund) has secured roughly S$80 million ($59 million) for the fund, far below its S$120 million ($87 million) target corpus which was slated to be closed fully by end-2019.
