IFC to invest up to $100m in HSBC's climate-focused fund for emerging markets

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private investment arm of the World Bank Group, will invest $100 million in an opportunity fund sponsored by HSBC for climate-related projects in developing countries, according to a disclosure.

The fund, called HSBC Real Economy Green Investment Opportunity GEM Bond Fund managed by HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM), has a minimum target size of $750 million and will be incorporated in Luxembourg.
