IFC proposes $200m debt financing for India's solar power developer Thar Surya 1

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has proposed a $200 million investment in the Indian solar power developer Thar Surya 1 Pvt. Ltd, according to a disclosure.

The total debt financing includes IFC’s own account investment of $50 million in INR and $100 million to be mobilised by IFC from parallel lenders. The total cost of the project is estimated at $200 million (including transaction costs).
