IFC proposes $5m equity investment in Indonesian fintech startup AwanTunai

World Bank Group member International Finance Corporation (IFC) has proposed a $5 million equity investment in Jakarta-based fintech startup AwanTunai, according to a disclosure.

IFC said the proposed investment is part of AwanTunai’s fundraising round that aims to finance the company’s further expansion. In August, AwanTunai raised about $56.2 million in a Series A2 round.
