The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is considering a $10-million senior loan to Nepal’s wholesale lending organisation RMDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, formerly known as the Rural Microfinance Development Centre.

The proposed debt investment is expected to help RMDC expand its lending to microfinance institutions focused on underserved regions and population segments in Nepal, including to very small enterprises (VSEs), IFC said in a disclosure.
