While tech startup HUGS Innovations has raised $5 million in its Series A round,  V Resorts has got $4 million from Seedfund and RB Investments.
<h3>HUG Innovations raises $5m Series A round</h3>
Technology startup HUG Innovations has raised $5 million in Series A Funding at a live instant funding event organised by TiE Hyderabad – The Guardian Angel.
“Out of the four startups which pitched their idea to pin-up investors HUG Innovations succeeded in raising $5 million (Rs 33 crore) Series A Funding,” said an official statement.
The round, which valued the company at $15.5 million, was led by angel investors Mohit Srivastav, Kishore Ganji, Venkat Vallabhaneni, and Rajeev Menon.
Founded in 2012, by Raj Neravati, HUGS Innovations develops gadgets for fitness lovers, which works on gesture recognition mechanism.
<h3>V Resorts raises $4m from Seedfund, RB Investments</h3>
Hotel management firm V Resorts has raised $4 million from early-stage investment firm <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/seedfund" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Seedfund</a> and Singapore-based <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/rb-investments" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">RB Investments</a>, said <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/money/v-resorts-raises-4-m-from-seedfund-rb-investments/articleshow/59317419.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
The Noida-based company plans to use this latest funding to fuel its domestic as well as overseas expansion.
The company, currently manages over 70 resorts across 15 states in the country, and is planning to increase its footprint to over 1,000 locations in India in the next two years.
It is also, looking to expand into the international market for which it it eyeing the Southeast Asian markets, Aditi Balbir, CEO at V Resorts told the news paper.
“We are looking at doubling our inventory by the end of this year and are geared towards a three -fold growth in the company,” said Balbir.
