Healthtech startup DocTalk, wearable tech firm CoveIoT and micro finance firm Aye Finance have received funding.
<h3>DocTalk raises $5m from Matrix, Khosla Ventures, others</h3>
Mumbai-based health care mobile app firm DocTalk raised about $5 million from investors led by <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/matrix-partners" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Matrix Partners India</a> and <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/khosla-ventures" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Khosla Ventures</a>.
The rounded also saw participation from Venture Highway, Liquid2 Ventures, Altair Capital, Vy Capital and a few angel investors.
The startup, which currently has operations in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, plans to use its first round of institutional fundnig primarily for hiring in sales, operations and technology, and to expand to new areas.
&#8220;We are looking to hire across departments such as sales, operations and technology as we plan to expand into new cities. We also have to develop a deeper presence in our existing markets,&#8221; said Akshat Goenka, founder and CEO, DocTalk.
<h3>Wearable tech firm CoveIoT raises up to $5m from Titan</h3>
Wearable tech internet of things (IoT) startup CoveIoT has raised $3-5 million from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/titan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Titan Company Ltd</a>, the Indian luxury goods company part of the <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/tata-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tata Group</a>, said <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/money/titan-invests-5-million-in-wearable-iot-firm-coveiot/articleshow/61539620.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times quoting sources.
“The funds are going to be deployed towards product development, as well as research, analytics and so on,“ said one of the sources quoted in the report.
Cove is the registered brand name of the startup KaHa which is registered in Singapore and also has offices in Bengaluru, Geneva and Shenzhen.
In 2015,  Titan Co. Ltd had announced its collaboration with HP Inc to launch a range of smart watches.
<h3>Aye Finance gets $4.9m in debt funding round led by Symbiotics Group</h3>
Shortly after it raised debt from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/triodos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Triodos Investment Management </a>of the Netherlands, Gurgaon-based small business loan provider <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/aye-finance" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Aye Finance</a> has received Rs 32 crore ($4.9 million) debt funding.
According to <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/money/symbiotic-leads-rs-32-cr-debt-funding-in-aye-finance/articleshow/61540312.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times, the latest debt funding round was led by Geneva-based development finance institution Symbiotics Group.
In September Aye Finance had raised close to $7 million (Rs44crore) in debt financing from global impact investment manager Triodos Investment Management of the Netherlands.
This takes the total funds raised by the Gurgaon-based startup in this financial year to about Rs 200 crore. Incorporated in 2014, Aye Finance is a non-banking finance company that provides mortgage, hypothecation and term loan services to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It has around 72 branches across 10 states.
