Venture Catalysts has backed specialised cuisine startup The Bohri Kitchen while maternity and parenting management firm Baby Destination has received Rs 2 crore in funding.

Angel investors&#8217; network <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Venture+Catalysts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Venture Catalysts</a> has invested an undisclosed sum in specialised cuisine startup The Bohri Kitchen, according to a statement.
The funding was led by Anuj Puri, Venture Catalysts, Qatar; Abhishek Agarwal, managing partner, Rockstud Capital; Nikunj Pachisia, Anirudh Damani of Artha India Ventures and Vishal Brahmbhatt.
Food and beverages doyenne Riyaaz Amlani, as well as several leading HNIs such as Romil Ratra, chef Rahul Akerkar and others, also took part in the round, the investment company said in the statement.
The Bohri Kitchen is the first-of-its-kind to take delectable dishes unique to the Dawoodi Bohra community and make them available to gastronomes and food connoisseurs.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Baby Destination gets $313k funding</h3>
Delhi-based Baby Destination, a maternity &amp; parenting management startup, has raised Rs 2 crore ($313k) funding from GEMs Partners, a micro-VC fund.
The investment was led by Aditya Gupta on behalf of GEMs and Tariq Khan, an angel investor from New York, in a fresh funding round, the company said in a statement.
&#8220;The fresh capital will be utilised towards pushing internal growth and for hiring in our key areas such as technology and product development, community management, business development, and marketing and sales,&#8221; said Tamanna Dhamija, founder of Baby Destination.
After successfully establishing its proof of concept/feasibility in the domestic market in the last one year, Baby Destination now aims to focus on product development and consolidation in order to increase the scale of users, improve personalized user experience, and boost average revenue per user (ARPU) with the help of the newly-raised funds, the company said.
