US-based Wyndham Hotel Group is looking for acquisitions in India, while two more senior executives are in the process of leaving fashion portal Myntra.
<h3>US-based Wyndham Hotel group scouts for acquisitions in India</h3>
US-based <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/wyndham-hotel" target="_blank">Wyndham Hotel group</a> is scouting for acquisitions in India to increase its presence in the country from 26 hotels now, said a Times of India <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://realty.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/hospitality/worlds-largest-hotel-chain-wyndham-hotel-eyes-buyouts-in-india/53716787" target="_blank">report</a>.
&#8220;We are looking at 100 per cent acquisitions if the opportunity exists. We are looking at domestic brands and not real estate play. A ready-made portfolio helps us increase our presence and that is how our company has historically grown,&#8221; Deepika Arora, Wyndham Hotel Group&#8217;s regional VP (Eurasia), said.
&#8220;We will be having 41 hotels with 4,755 rooms in next three years across India in cities like Darjeeling and Kumbhalgarh,&#8221; she added.
It has properties in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Goa, Jaipur and Udaipur with a total of 2,625 rooms.
<h3>Two more senior executives to quit Myntra</h3>
Two more senior executives at <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/myntra" target="_blank">Myntra</a> are in the process of leaving the fashion e-tailer, which may be an aftermath of the recent acquisition of rival <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/jabong" target="_blank">Jabong</a> by parent company <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/flipkart" target="_blank">Flipkart</a>, said <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/fashion-portal-myntra-prepares-for-exit-of-two-more-senior-executives/articleshow/53715256.cms" target="_blank">a report</a> in The Economic Times quoting sources.
The exit of Head of commerce Prasad Kompalli and Abhishek Verma, who was leading fashion brands, follow the exit of its former chief creative officer Gautam Kotamraju, who moved to Amazon India, while Prabhakar Sunder, who oversaw finance at Myntra, has moved to rival fashion portal, Voonik last month. These senior executives were working directly with Myntra CEO Ananth Narayanan.
&#8220;Kompalli will be moving into an advisory role from October, in order to devote his time to his personal ambitions and building on his rich experiences at Myntra,&#8221; said a spokesperson for Myntra.
