Indonesia: Blackberry, Twitter, Google, Spotify agree to form local entities, JVs in-line with new OTT rules

Large foreign over the top (OTT) mobile service providers have expressed willingness to comply with the new rules announced last week by either establishing their own local entities, partnering with local operators, or establishing joint ventures with local firms, Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara said on Tuesday.

Among them were Blackberry, Twitter, Google, and Spotify, Swedish music streaming service who has recently teamed up with local telecommunications company PT Indosat Ooredo and entered the Indonesian market.
