PT Berkahi Umat Makmur Indonesia, a shariah-compliant social commerce platform, is looking to raise $1 million in seed funding to increase its employee headcount, improve technology, and expand business, its founders told DealStreetAsia.

Berkahi, which was officially launched on Wednesday, seeks to offer a lifeline to Indonesian micro, small, and medium (MSME) business owners selling halal goods who have been hit by the global pandemic. Through its platform, anyone can start an online business by selling products to resellers.
