Intel Capital invests $67m in 8 Chinese startups

Intel Capital, the investment arm of the Santa Clara chip giant, on Thursday announced an investment of  $67 million across eight Chinese technology startups covering a broad spectrum of industries including smart devices, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, big data and data analytics. Intel Capital did not specify breakup of its investment in each firm.

The Chinese companies receiving investments are cloud computing solution provider 99cloud, smart device and application developer ŸBluebank Communication Technology; smart device solution provider Shenzhen Hampoo Science & Technology; manufacturer of transparent conductive silver nanowire film Nuovo Film Inc; developer of intelligent robotic systems Shenzhen PraFly Technology (PraFly); openstack cloud solution provider AWcloud Technology (AWcloud); fabless IC design firm TELINK SEMICONDUCTOR.
