2021 was a blockbuster year for Indian startups when they minted 45 unicorns, ranking just behind the US and China. However, with global macroeconomic headwinds derailing the dealmaking momentum in 2022, India has seen only a handful of unicorns emerge this year while several startups have witnessed a drop in valuations.
