Lightspeed India bags commitment from US pension fund for latest vehicle

Venture capital investor Lightspeed India Partners received a funding commitment from the State of Michigan Retirement System as part of the US pension fund’s $2.3-billion allocations in the second quarter of this year.

The retirement fund, through its investment board, has committed $7.5 million to Lightspeed India Fund IV, which closed at $500 million in July. The fund also earlier received a $30-million commitment from the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
