Mapletree Industrial Trust (MIT) has entered a deal to sell a Singapore data centre property to the site’s tenant Equinix Singapore for S$125 million ($91.2 million), the REIT said in an SGX filing Friday.
Equinix Singapore has exercised the option to purchase the property, which was included in the 2013 agreement for the REIT to develop the site for the tenant, the filing said. Equinix Singapore’s parent entity is among the largest data centre operators globally, owning more than 200 sites.
