US pension fund commits up to $240m across two Asian PE funds

The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) has approved commitments of up to $240 million across two Asia-focused private equity vehicles, according to the minutes of an investment committee meeting held on Wednesday.

The pension fund agreed to commit up to $100 million to DCP Capital Partners, a mid to large cap fund targeting buyout and substantial minority investments in consumer, environmental, TMT, healthcare, industrials, and financial services companies based in Greater China.
