Olam secures $176m loan from IFC, JICA

Agri-business player Olam International has obtained $176 million in multi-tranche loans from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to support smallholder farmers.

The facility’s first tranche is a five-year $130-million loan and the second is a seven-year $56 million loan, Singapore-listed Olam said in a statement filed to SGX Wednesday.
