OMERS, Actis, and Brookfield bid for SoftBank's stake in India's SB Energy

Canadian pension fund Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (OMERS), private equity fund Actis Llp and Brookfield Asset Management Inc. have submitted bids to buy Japan’s SoftBank Group Corp’s stake in SB Energy Holding, said two people aware of the development.

Also, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), which had earlier evinced interest in the 7.7 giga watt (GW) Indian solar portfolio, is expected to submit its bid to land the deal, touted to be among the largest in India’s clean energy space.
