SE Asia's agrifood startups to attract more VC money as interest in sustainability grows

When Justin Chou, co-founder of Glife, a company that helps restaurants procure fresh produce directly from farmers, reached out to investors for funding five years ago, some baulked at his proposition.

He was often asked: “‘Are you a restaurant business? Are you into food manufacturing?'” When he explained to them that Glife was an agritech firm, some investors thought it was into vertical farming.
