The Singapore Exchange (SGX) needs to aggressively pursue more international partnerships such as its collaboration listings agreement with the NASDAQ, in order to grow its pool of funds, according to Professor Alex Frino, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Strategies) at the University of Wollongong Australia.
Frino was previously CEO of the Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre Limited – an A$100 million research installation based at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). He has held visiting academic positions at universities in Italy, New Zealand, the UK and the US, as well as positions with financial market organisations that include the Sydney Futures Exchange, Credit Suisse and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in the US.
